Chapter 12

My kids are all growing up so quickly.  Leah already has her own family and has moved out. Isabelle and Connor are both in high school.  They do their homework together every night, and both of them are getting good grades.  Zoey has already reached Level 4 of the Medical Career, she’s a Medical Intern now.

Oh, wow, and speaking of growing up quickly, Isabelle’s birthday rolled around without much warning at all!  She’s becoming an adult now, too!

Isabelle grew up into a gorgeous, ambitious young woman, with the dream to become the Leader of the Free World.  My, how that girl can dream!  And I just know that with her ambitious nature and great sense of humor, she’ll be able to make the whole town fall in love with her, and all of her dreams will come true.

Zoey’s high school sweetheart, Broderick Jack, has been spending quite a bit of time at our house lately.  They’re still just as in love as they were as teenagers.  Broderick makes her so happy, I can see it in her eyes when they’re together.  She looks at him the way I look at Hal.

Broderick took Zoey out to  a romantic little park the other night.  There were flowers and a pond and Zoey said it was an absolutely beautiful little secluded, quiet place.  Broderick got down on one knee and asked Zoey to marry him!  Such a sweet, romantic proposal!  My baby sure knows how to pick ‘em, doesn’t she?  I’m so happy for her!

Zoey swears that it was the perfect moment.  The little park was bathed in gentle moonlight, and she could hear the water and the birds, she was surrounded by nature, and the man she loved wanted her forever.  She told me that she couldn’t even dream up something that great.

Broderick moved in with us right away.   He tells me that his heart’s desire is to be surrounded by family.  He will be a stay-at-home father for his children, while Zoey chases her dreams of becoming a World-Renowned Surgeon.  I figured if he’s gonna be home, it’ll be his job to take over the garden once I’m gone, so I’m teaching him all of the trade secrets.

Zoey’s career has been going wonderfully.  Today she came home with a promotion to Trauma Surgeon, level 6 of the Medical career.  With her well on her way to making her dreams a reality, and about to marry the man she loves, I decided it was the perfect time for me to tell her.  Zoey will be my heir, the new head of the household.  She will take over immediately, and I will live out the rest of my days happily surrounded by my family, here to help and guide her while she starts her own family and carries on what will hopefully become a long and fruitful legacy.

A/N: This was a very difficult decision for me, because Leah has already started a family, and Isabelle is a complete beauty.  However, Zoey has already progressed extremely well in her career, and Broderick is absolutely gorgeous with his pretty purple eyes, and will add to a wonderful bloodline, so that helped my decision.

Also, the next chapter will be written from Zoey’s perspective, and will be marked with the installation of the World Adventures expansion pack.  Because of this, a lot of my custom content will be lost.  Also, it messed with the ages a bit, setting most of them back a few days, towards the beginning of their time as a young adult/elder, etc.  There’s nothing I can do about this, so it’ll just mean longer lifespans, I guess.  Look for a new chapter coming sometime soon, hopefully by Wednesday at the latest
